MLSE is offering a free public skate on March 16, 2011 at Air Canada Centre, along with several other ice rinks in Toronto.
This is in addition to the following donations by the MLSE Team Up Foundation:
- Angela James Arena (165 Grenoble Drive) – Ice Hockey – $250,000 donation to replace the dasher boards, provide new skate matting, create a women’s dressing room and upgrade the current dressing rooms;
- Variety Village – Basketball Court – $120,000 investment toward a new FIBA regulated hardwood centre court at Variety Village. The new court will provide the Canadian National and Provincial wheelchair basketball teams a place to train and inspire the Village’s grassroots program; and
- Burnhamthorpe Community Centre Rink – Ice Hockey – $25,000 investment in the facility.
The MLSE is holding it’s One4One Event on March 28, 2011.
